윤장호의 두 번째 개인전 《낙원의 땅에는 뾰족한 가시만 남았다》는 작가의 기억 속 평화와 풍요의 상징이었던 할아버지의 밤나무 산에서 출발해, 그 이면에 잠복해 있던 소유와 경계, 보호와 침범의 긴장을 오늘의 감각 속으로 불러온다. 두 세대가 흐른 지금, 작가는 그 기억의 바깥에 서 있지만 그때의 불안은 사라지지 않은 채 다른 얼굴로 되돌아온다. 제도와 성취의 체계 안에서 스스로의 자리를 끊임없이 증명해야 하는 오늘의 압력 속에서, 불안은 더 이상 외부의 침입자가 아니라 내면을 겨누는 감시자의 모습으로 나타난다. 전시는 집안의 오래된 이야기와 현재의 불안이 맞닿는 지점을 포착하며, 상속된 감정을 재료 삼아 경계와 돌봄, 소유와 상실, 욕망과 불안이 서로 뒤섞인 풍경을 그려낸다.

Jangho Yoon’s second solo exhibition, Only the Sharp Thorns Remain in the Land of Paradise, begins with the memory of his grandfather’s chestnut grove—once a symbol of peace and abundance—bringing into the present the underlying tensions of ownership and boundaries, protection and intrusion that shaped it beneath the surface. Two generations on, Yoon stands outside that memory, yet its embedded anxieties return in transformed ways. In a time when one must constantly validate one’s place within systems of achievement and institutional order, anxiety no longer appears as an external intruder but as an internalized gaze that monitors and disciplines. The exhibition traces the point where inherited stories meet contemporary unease, using these emotional residues as material to form a terrain in which care and vigilance, possession and loss, desire and anxiety fold into one another.
